The Carson Ambulance Service is one of two BLS services operating in Grant County, North Dakota. We provide 911 Emergency Response for the city of Carson and surrounding area residents, as well as 911 Response and medical transports for Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin, ND.
Each year we respond to an average of 70 emergency & transfer calls. Our service covers 752 square miles servicing the communities of Carson, Leith, Lark, Heil. We also provide mutual aid service for our neighboring ambulance services of New Leipzig/Elgin Ambulance, Flasher Ambulance, and Almont Ambulance.
We are a volunteer based service with reimbursements to our crew based on call time and runs. Currently, we have 4 active EMTs and 4 active CPR certified drivers on our roster. As with any rural ambulance service, we are always looking for more volunteers!
If you’re interested in getting a CPR card, becoming an EMT or a Certified First Responder, contact the Carson Ambulance Service today. CPR classes and EMT classes are scheduled based on local interest as well as state testing schedules.
Members in good standing will get their tuition to a ND EMT training class fully paid, as well as further education to keep your certification up to date.
